Fit and use
The enclosures mount in the saddlebags of compatible 2014–2023 Street Glide and Road Glide (and select 2014+ Electra Glide) models and are removable to restore storage when needed. No, the aftermarket Rockford Fosgate HD14-SBSUB system is not designed to work with any factory BOOM!™ Audio or Harley-Davidson Audio Powered by Rockford Fosgate audio system.

The subwoofer amplifier mounts on the inside of the brake side saddlebag, toward the rear of the saddlebag. The subwoofer enclosure includes a recessed area to accommodate the amplifier.
Does the Motorcycle Need to be Re-Flashed?

No, but only if your Harley-Davidson factory radio was originally flashed when the aftermarket Rockford Fosgate TMS audio system was installed. The radio should have been flashed with the TechnoResearch flash tool using the following setting:
- Radio Flash: Rockford Fosgate 2014+ All Bikes
Your motorcycle does not need to be flashed when using this following equipment:
- Adding the HD14-SBSUB kit to an existing Rockford Fosgate aftermarket (TMS) audio kit.
- Using the PMX-HD14 aftermarket radio. This radio inherently does not need to be flashed.
Can You Remove Just one Saddlebag Subwoofer?

The HD14-SBSUB kit comes with two subwoofers, one for the clutch side and one for the brake side. The system includes a 4-channel amplifier with each subwoofer being driven by a pair of channels bridged.
The system is flexible enough to be used with one or two subwoofers installed and running. You can remove the clutch -or- brake side subwoofer enclosure when luggage space is required for touring purposes.
Yes, you can remove the clutch side, the brake side, or both subwoofers from the motorcycle without hurting the amplifier.
The HD14-SBSUB kit comes with two subwoofers, one for the clutch side and one for the brake side. The system includes a 4-channel amplifier with each subwoofer being driven by a pair of channels bridged.
The system is flexible enough to be used with one or two subwoofers installed and running. You can remove the clutch -or- brake side subwoofer enclosure when luggage space is required for touring purposes.
However, as a Harley rider, you know the importance of your center of gravity. So, if you remove only one subwoofer, you'll want to distribute your luggage weight proportionately to the the other saddlebag.
Compatibility
This subwoofer system is designed to interface only with the below aftermarket audio kits and compatible Harley-Davidson® motorcycles. If your existing audio system and motorcycle are not listed below, it is not compatible.
Kit only compatible with standard sized Harley-Davidson® ABS plastic bags. Not compatible with stretched or early generation fiberglass bags. Not compatible with factory equipped amplifier or bulkhead wiring harness in saddlebag. If equipped with Tour-Pak, it must be removed prior to removing subwoofer enclosure. Kit requires factory Harley-Davidson® radio to be flashed (likely already done if below kit installed).
